Bridge Battles Defender Role Guide

Defenders are the gatekeepers of Bridge Battles. Armed with an RPG, your job is to destroy enemy bridge progress, knock builders off edges, and buy time for your team's builder to reach the center. A skilled defender can stall an entire enemy team while a single builder wins the match.

Defender Core Principles

• Stay on slot 2 (RPG) at least 90% of the time.
• Target bridge sections, not individual players when possible.
• Use aim-down-sights for precision shots at bridge edges.
• Fire at the middle of long bridge stretches for maximum destruction.
• Protect your builder by firing at enemies approaching your bridge.

Bridge Destruction Priority

Not all RPG shots are equal. Destroying a section near the enemy base forces the longest rebuild. Hitting the center of a long straight bridge section removes the most blocks per shot. Avoid wasting rockets on bridge sections that are only a few blocks long — the enemy rebuilds those instantly. Focus fire on sections where destruction creates the largest gap between the enemy builder and the center platform.

Edge Denial Technique

Instead of aiming for direct player damage, use aim-down-sights (right-click on PC, Aim button on mobile) to knock enemies off the side of their bridge. Edge kills send players into the void, forcing a respawn and lost time. This technique is especially effective against builders who stand on the outer edge while placing blocks. One well-placed edge shot eliminates a builder and destroys several blocks simultaneously.

RPG Upgrade Priority for Defenders

Unlike builders, defenders benefit significantly from RPG weapon upgrades. The RPG shop offers six variants beyond the default launcher, each with different blast radius and destruction power. Invest in RPG upgrades after your basic carry capacity is functional. Higher-tier RPGs clear wider bridge sections per shot, making each rocket more impactful. Crowd Control Shots

When multiple enemy builders cluster on a bridge section, fire at the center of the group. Splash damage from RPG explosions can hit several players and destroy multiple blocks in one shot. These crowd shots are the highest-value rockets in Bridge Battles because they combine bridge destruction with multi-kills.
